Every year, Briarpatch programs serve approximately 2,000 unduplicated youth. While cash donations are always appreciated, in-kind items are also accepted. When making this type of donation, we ask that you complete and include an in-kind gift receipt (click here to download) for tax purposes. Please see the list of items currently needed by our youth below.

Give twice through Amazon Smiles

We can help take guesswork out of needs for our clients. Log onto Briarpatch Youth Services Amazon Smiles account and find our Wish Lists to help today. Briarpatch has specific items listed for the Street Outreach Program, Transitional Living Program and Winter Outreach, in addition to the overall needs of Briarpatch.

Amazon also gives back for all purchases when you shop Amazon Smiles. Simply log onto Amazon Smiles and choose Briarpatch Youth Services as your supporting organization. When making your personal purchases, or purchases from our wish list, Amazon will donate .5% back to Briarpatch.

Gift Cards & Bus Tickets

Many of our programs depend on providing transportation for our youth.  Please consider donating ten-ride bus passes from Madison Metro.

Gift cards are also very useful.  Life for at-risk, runaway, and homeless youth is tough. We work to mitigate the feelings of shame and guilt these youth often carry by providing opportunities to purchase clothing and hygiene items with a counselor. This act alone can help preserve a youth's dignity and help instill a sense of empowerment in a rough situation. For this reason, we also accept donations of gift cards to places such as Walgreen's, Wal-Mart, Target, Woodman's, Subway, or other local establishments that offer food, clothing, and hygiene items.

We also accept gift cards for entertainment venues (e.g. movie theaters, mini-golf courses, etc.) for outings with Briarpatch youth.
