Ever year, Briarpatch programs serve approximately 2,000 unduplicated youth. While cash donations are always appreciated, in-kind items are also accepted. When making this type of donation, we ask that you complete and include an in-kind gift receipt (click here to download) for tax purposes. Please see the list of items currently needed by our youth below.

Gift Cards & Bus Tickets
Many of our programs depend on providing transportation for our youth. Please consider donating ten-ride bus passes from Madison Metro.
Gift cards are also very useful. Life for at-risk, runaway, and homeless youth is tough. We work to mitigate the feelings of shame and guilt these youth often carry by providing opportunities to purchase clothing and hygiene items with a counselor. This act alone can help preserve a youth's diginity and help instill a sense of empowerment in a rough situation. For this reason, we also accept donations of gift cards to places such as Walgreen's, Wal-Mart, Target, Woodman's, Subway, or other local establishments that offer food, clothing, and hygiene items.
We also accept gift cards for entertainment venues (e.g. movie theaters, mini-golf courses, etc.) for outings with Briarpatch youth.
